About Me
Your hearing health is our passion
Taking an individualised approach to hearing health.
Hearing is personal. Your assessment should be too.
Hearing loss affects far more than your ability to hear. It influences how you communicate, connect with others, perform at work and experience the world around you. Yet no two people experience hearing loss in the same way.
As a Clinical Audiologist, I believe every patient deserves an assessment that is as individual as their hearing. Rather than relying on standard protocols alone, I take the time to understand your listening difficulties, medical history, lifestyle, communication needs and personal goals before carrying out a comprehensive programme of diagnostic testing.
By combining detailed objective measurements with your own listening experiences, I build a complete clinical picture of your hearing. This allows me to identify the underlying nature of your hearing difficulties and recommend rehabilitation that is tailored specifically to you, not simply prescribe a hearing aid.
Whether you require advanced diagnostic audiology, specialist assessment of noise-induced hearing loss or bespoke hearing rehabilitation, my focus is always the same: clinical accuracy, evidence-based care and helping you hear with greater confidence.
The Audiology Suite Approach
Every assessment begins with listening not only to your hearing, but to your experience.
I take time to understand the situations in which you struggle to hear, the environments you spend time in, your occupation, lifestyle and long-term hearing goals. I then perform a comprehensive battery of audiological investigations, combining objective diagnostic measurements with subjective assessment tools to build a complete understanding of your hearing.
Only once every aspect has been carefully evaluated do I recommend a personalised rehabilitation plan, ensuring every recommendation is based on clinical evidence and tailored to the demands of your daily life.

Why Choose The Audiology Suite?
Choosing an audiologist is about more than selecting hearing aids; it’s about placing your trust in someone who understands your hearing and provides the right solution for your individual needs.
At The Audiology Suite, your care is led by Maria Amer, a Clinical Audiologist registered with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). A graduate of the University of Bristol, Maria has over 13 years of clinical experience across NHS hospitals, private practice and independent audiology. She combines advanced diagnostic expertise with an individualised approach to hearing rehabilitation, ensuring every recommendation is guided by clinical evidence, comprehensive diagnostic assessment and the demands of your daily life.
Our goal is simple: to provide exceptional hearing care that helps you communicate with confidence, reconnect with the people around you and enable you to enjoy the sounds that matter most.
